Eight years ago, a vision began to take shape — one born from compassion, experience, and countless conversations around our kitchen table. During our years working in healthcare and business, we often talked about the challenges we saw in assisted living homes, especially when caring for residents in the last stages of life. 

As a nurse practitioner, Lisa saw firsthand how subtle changes in residents’ health often went unnoticed until it was too late to make a meaningful difference. Together, we imagined a better way — a place where attentive care, dignity, and compassion come first.

With Lisa’s 25-plus years of clinical experience and Erik’s background in management and human resources, we began to brainstorm how we could create something different. We wanted a home where residents are treated as individuals, where care is proactive rather than reactive, and where families are partners every step of the way.

That dream became Desert Agape Senior Living — more than just a home, it’s a community. Here, every resident is seen, heard, and valued. We believe in preserving dignity, honoring individuality, and creating an environment filled with warmth and compassion.
